WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

“Can you remember who you were before the

world told you who you should be?”  Charles Bukowski

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s

life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the

results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of

others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most

important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” Steve Jobs

“Only when we forget what we were taught

do we start to have real knowledge.” Henry David Thoreau

We have our own free will; we should use it. Either we choose who we

are, or the world will tell us who we should be. We have a choice; we

can choose which path we will follow. We can choose the outcome,

or we can let others choose our outcome for us, but we do get to

decide. If we fail to exercise our choices; society will choose for us.

If we choose not to make our own decisions, society will decide for

us. If we do not decide how to use our time, others will tell us. If we

choose not to decide what to think or believe others will tell us. Think

for yourself, not of yourself. Think of others, not for others.

UNIQUENESS

UNIQUENESS

"Being yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make

you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

                                                                        Ralph Waldo Emerson

You are quite unique and that is quite good enough.

Society in general by its very nature of the system is built to churn

out uniform parts for a uniform system. Uniformity. Another cog in the

wheel of the machine that churns forward. Be the squeaky wheel. Be

the flywheel. Make your own way on your own path. Think outside the

box. Think freely. Think creatively. Be original. Learn from the past.

Observe. Pay attention. Watch others. Take it all in, then combine that

with your own skills, talent, uniqueness, free spirit and make it better.

Make it your own. Free yourself up to be your own person. Do what

you and you alone were built to do. Do what is interesting to you.

Never conform to what others think. Never conform to social pressures.

Never let others define your values. You were born unique. Be your

natural self. Do what comes naturally. Be your true self. Play to your

strengths. Your value comes from who you are. You were created

perfectly for a purpose. We are all here to contribute to our community

and to serve others. To serve our higher purpose, we must cultivate

and grow what is unique about us. Work at improving our skills that

fit with our unique spirit and purpose.

  • Why doing good is a way of acknowledging and celebrating our common humanity
  • The vital role that nature plays in our physical and mental health and well-being
  • Important checklists to live by—including the 10 steps to freedom and flat-ass rules that cannot be denied

And much more.

Life can be wondrous, but it also throws a host of challenges in your path. You cannot evade these obstacles, nor can you avoid disappointment or loss.

However, you are in full control of how you process and deal with these circumstances. By living according to your core values, you can stay positive, keep your eye on the prize, and continue to celebrate the beauty of life, with all its chaos and unpredictability.
