“You’ll never get bored when you try something new.
There’s really no limit to what you can do.”
Dr. Seuss
Habit, routine, “our comfort zone” can be a good thing as we develop
good habits and productive routines, but we must also stay curious,
experience new things. Whether it’s food, travel, a different type of
exercise, genre of music or reading, experiment with new things.
Maybe it is learning a new language, or more about anatomy, neuroscience,
the stock market, dive in and try new things. Most people
grow old and say, I always wanted to learn “(you can insert whatever
here)” do not have that kind of regret, learn to cook, learn to fly fish.
When someone who has a lot of experience of doing something asks
you to come along and do it, do it. (Well avoid stupid unsafe things).
Boredom can be the worst feeling there is. When we are bored, we
make dumb choices, drink, read mindless garbage. Try something
new, you might be good at it and find a new passion or skill. You should
define for yourself your attitude towards this world. Shape your own
beliefs. Accept what works for you, question what does not. Do what
interests you.
“The important thing is to not stop questioning.”
Albert Einstein
