Mazda updates recall of
more than 205,000 vehicles over Takata airbags.
The Car Connection (7/26, Read, 176K) continues
coverage of Mazda’s updated recall of more than 205,000 model years 2007 and
2011 Mazda6, CX-7, and CX-9 vehicles. Mazda issued a recall of the vehicles in
2016 “to replace Takata’s fatally flawed airbag inflators, which use ammonium
nitrate to deploy airbags during collisions.” However, that recall did not
offer a permanent fix, which the updated recall seeks to rectify.
