Toyota issues recall for 209,000 FJ Cruisers due to seatbelt defect.

The Wall Street Journal (3/25, Welsh, 2.29M) reports that Toyota Motor Corp. has issued a recall for specified FJ Cruiser SUVs from the 2007-2013 model years. There is a possible defect in the seat belts which cracks to form in the rear doors, if the doors are closed forcefully over a long period. This can cause the seat belt retractor to detach, increasing the risk of injury. According to the NHTSA, the recall includes 209,000 vehicles.
